Post C - NMC Specialists

The incumbents will be responsible to the Manager Network Management Centre for provision of second line maintenance Service.

Carry out appraisals on the quality of maintenance.
Review and document power operational process and procedures.
Carry out site surveys to assess power requirements.
Prepare tenders and negotiate with bidders.
Monitor the performance of newly installed equipment during the period of warranty.

To prepare annual budget for transmission systems maintenance.
To maintain database for spares, tools and test equipment.
To identify transmission bottlenecks and recommend for upgrades.
To co-ordinate and implement reconfiguration/re-routing of network traffic and equipment.
To control bandwidth utililization of the whole transmission network by issuance of CAs as and when necessary.

To analyse network performance on network availability for Internet and Data.
Upgrade the core network by putting additional capacity in the network as when required.
To research on world trends on the Internet and Data communication and recommend changes when necessary
Prepare maintenance manuals for the Internet and Data department as when necessary.
Supply end users with spares as and when required (e.g. Internet and Data Department).

Carry out appraisals on the quality of maintenance of exchanges with reference to technical instructions.
Review and document switching operational process and procedures.
Determine the traffic margin of existing switching equipment to minimize overload of equipment as when proposals are received for expansion.
Prepare tenders and negotiate with bidders.
Monitor the performance of newly installed equipment during the period of warranty.

Create and manage the database of all mechanical plant within the organization to speed up fault location and repair.
Review and update all mechanical services, operational processes and procedures to ensure standardization across regions.
Prepare the annual budget for Create and manage the database of all mechanical p mechanical plant for all departmental requirements.
Monitor operational performance of plant across all regions.
Prepare and produce tender documents and forward them to purchasing committee.

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Telecommunication/Electronic/Computer Engineering.
Plus 5 years relevant experience.
